Black Shop Friday
The initial Black Shop Friday campaign was launched in 2020 by a group of creatives from Chicago-based agency OKRP. Since then, Black Shop Friday has been established as a separate, non-profit organization dedicated to raise awareness of local Black-owned businesses by calling on people to visit and make a purchase.
As the lead designer, I created the brand’s look and feel and brand guidelines that helped launch and establish the brand.
To this day, Black Shop Friday continues to amplify Black voices and culture through entrepreneurial partnerships with Target, local businesses, and community members.
